All the Little Shops has been set up to help independent retailers, and local producers in Chester. The website is...
Christmas is coming... the goose is getting fat.. .and here is a great opportunity to win a fantastic Christmas Hamper...
A website has been launched by Wombourne’s independent traders to promote their shops and services in the Village centre.
The website, called All The Little Shops, Wombourne, is a virtual shopping tour of some of the best independent retailers and services in the area.
The initiative has been sponsored by Sainsbury’s as it looks to support Wombourne’s existing traders and help secure the long-term vitality and vibrancy of the village centre.
The website allows local independent retailers to create their own web pages and display up to 20 products, providing trading information, vouchers and incentives to encourage local residents to visit when they are out in the village centre.
To further boost trade, retailers can also sell their goods online via the website, and, as Sainsbury’s is funding the site, Wombourne traders can create their pages for free.
Residents and shoppers visiting the website can browse a wide range of products, plan their shopping trips and see what else there is to do in Wombourne via a ‘Whilst in Our Village’ section.
Many local traders are already active on the new site, but those wishing to join and create a page for their goods and services can do so by visiting the website at www.wombourneshopping.co.uk and registering their shop or service.
Local residents and shoppers from further afield can view the website at the same address.
Mick Webb, Sainsbury’s Store Manager comments: “By sponsoring All The Little Shops Wombourne, Sainsbury’s is showing its commitment to local trade and service. We recognise how important it is to maintain the character, heritage and vibrancy that local and independent retailers bring to a small town or village and we are delighted to be able to help promote Wombourne in such a way. The website will encourage people to visit the village centre more often, as well as doing their bulk shopping in the new foodstore.”
